Love is the thread.......

I know, I know, It's been an age since I posted anything here....not that I'd forgotten about this space, it's just been a lack of time to do anything other than cards and work that has got in the way. So now I've made a conscious decision to start doing what really pleases me creatively instead of what I think I ought to be doing.

So to gently get me into the swing of things I made this ATC...

Last year I stumbled across Danita's blog and I've been a huge fan ever since , do hop over and take a look. A while ago Danita kindly shared an image and I've had it sat waiting for me to do something with it ( again going back to my point earlier ) so last night I got out my paints and got messy :)

I really do enjoy the scale of ATC's, perfect for trying out techniques..not too much waste if it all goes wrong, which It does quite often :)

It's the small things......

Honestly it is really the small things that make me happy, take for instance today.............I found this beautiful button at my local fent shop, it was sandwiched between the most ordinary tubes of buttons but soon as my eye fell on it I let out an " Oooooooooo "...it's an inch in diameter and is made of plastic but I still love it :)

Now another find, this time at Paperchase...have a thing about blank Kraft books at the mo...anyway Saturday we headed off to Harrogate for a romantic weekend, which was lovely by the way, but craft shopping of any kind was a big no no that day but I knew he wouldn't count Paperchase as a crafty shop, and really I suppose it isn't, it's mainly stationary, which I LOVE anyway...but tucked away at the back of the shop was this beauty...it's about 5' by 7'..the pages inside are a heavy weight Kraft paper.....see?

Sigh....want more :) am Happy :)

Hi everyone, well there's not been much craftiness lately..bit of a creative drought going on here I think. I had an ATC to make for a swap I'd asked for.....I know the recipient likes goth/dark images so thought this cute but slightly weird character would fit the bill...

It's been a while since i sat and doodled.....tis only a tiny one, this is an Atc, but i am enjoying it when i get the time.


A quick post cos i'm full of cold :( oh what joy........not :( am off to comfort myself with homemade soup, hot water bottle and lots of vicks vapor rub.......sniff xxxx

I had to just had to share this video i stumbled across whilst blog hopping, it's a band i'd never heard of before but i LOVE the video ( keep any eye out for the tiny elephant ) there's so many lovely details and i adore the song too.

My first bit of craftiness for 2010

Well the snow has bought me some crafty time today with the shop i work at being closed for the day, it really does look pretty out there but i'm so glad i didn't have to venture out !

To ease me back into the swing of things i thought i'd make a couple of ATC's...
